FLORESVILLE -- A 22-year-old woman is listed in critical condition at University Hospital in San Antonio, officials said prior to press time March 17, after she reportedly jumped from a moving automobile on northbound U.S. 181 near Bentwood Drive north of here March 13.

The victim, identified as Tamara Dujardin, was a passenger in a vehicle driven by 22-year-old Lorenzo Herrera Jr. of Floresville. According to Investigator Gary Laughlin Sr. of the Wilson County Sheriff’s Office, Herrera telephoned a family member at approximately 1:30 a.m. to report that Dujardin exited the moving vehicle while the two were involved in an argument and that he was tending to her on the side of the road.

The family member dialed 911. Trooper Cory Holmes of the Texas Department of Public Safety Highway Patrol -- who joined deputies at the scene -- arrested Herrera and charged him with driving while intoxicated. Herrera was transported to the Wilson County Jail, where records indicate that Wilson County Pct. 4 Justice of the Peace Richard “Dickie” Jackson set his bond at $2,000. Herrera posted bond at 4:31 a.m. and was released.

Laughlin said Dujardin suffered head injuries. She was transported to University Hospital via AirLife helicopter.

POFPO....Your previous comments and defense of police matters lead me to think that you must have a very close relative in the law enforcement industry. Sorta like a mama bear protecting her cubs.

If you are in law enforcement you should not be commenting on internet blogs about investigations, if your not in law enforcement you should not be projecting that you are.
