Students in Celena Hernandez’s kindergarten class at Floresville South Elementary School were dressed in their best as they completed the last step of the writing process at their Authors Celebration.

The students wrote and illustrated a narrative using the writing process -- generate an idea, draft, revise, and edit -- during a writer’s workshop. They were surrounded by their parents and grandparents as they published their stories. Tea, punch, and donut holes were served to the authors and guests.

The students did a fabulous job during this whole process and especially in presenting their books to their guests! Thank you to all the parents and family members who were able to attend and enjoy the authors celebration and share the accomplishments of each of the students.
