Cycle Ranch to host Loretta Lynn qualifier
FLORESVILLE -- Cycle Ranch is once again hosting a Loretta Lynn Area Qualifier this Saturday and Sunday, March 29-30.
The annual event is one of 51 area qualifying events taking place in 32 states across the country. The qualifying races began in February, and will be held through May in preparation for the regional championships. They will lead to the AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship at the famed Loretta Lynn Ranch in Hurricane Mills, Tenn.
The Area Qualifiers serve as the first step in qualifying for the world’s largest and most-prestigious amateur motocross championship. Many of the country’s premier motocross tracks have once again been selected to host these qualifiers, and Cycle Ranch remains among them. The Regional Championships then serve as the next step to seed riders into the National Championship at the Loretta Lynn Ranch. Only riders who finish in a qualifying position at a Regional Championship are eligible to race the National, which takes place Monday through Saturday, July 28 - Aug. 2.
