The Floresville High School March female student of the month is Kezia Garcia, the 18-year-old daughter of Olga and Gerardo Garcia.

For her efforts in the classroom, Kezia has earned numerous honors. She has been on the A Honor Roll for the past three years. Kezia has also been named the Outstanding Student of the Year in AP Spanish, Horticulture, Algebra II, Broadcast Journalism, Marketing, and Pre-AP Pre-Calculus.

Kezia is a member in good standing with the National Honor Society, and has served as a Link Crew leader. As a member of the Business Professionals of America, Kezia was on the news broadcast team and advanced to state competition in March.

Upon graduation in June, Kezia plans to attend the University of the Incarnate Word, where she will major in nursing.

The March male student of the month is Deric Trevino, the 17-year-old son of Roberta and James Trevino.

Deric is very active in FHS extracurricular activities. He is a member in good standing with the National Honor Society. He has also participated in basketball and cross country.

Upon graduation in June, Deric plans to attend either the University of Texas at San Antonio or Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, where he will major in computer science.

It has been our privilege to watch Kezia growing up. We knew her when she was just starting elementary school and have seen her blossom into an amazing young person. We also were privileged to have her do an internship with us ... More ›
