Wilson County spring education program is March 27

The Wilson County Spring Educational Program is set for Thursday, March 27, at 6 p.m. in the Wilson County Show Barn, located at 435 S.H. 97 east of Floresville.

Registration will begin at 6 p.m. with a meal provided by the Wilson County Farm Bureau.

Speakers for the evening include Texas Department of Public Safety Trooper Anthony Flores, who will provide information on Texas Transportation Laws for farm and ranch equipment that operates on public roads.

Dr. Robert Lyons, professor and Extension range specialist, of the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension in Uvalde will speak about brush and plant identification and give control options for brush and weed management.

Two Texas Department of Agriculture Continuing Education Units will be offered.

This free educational program is sponsored by the Wilson County Farm Bureau and the Wilson County Agrilife Extension Service.
