Personnel from the Stockdale Volunteer Fire Department work to free a driver from his wrecked semi cab after a rollover wreck that occurred just after 12:30 p.m. March 25 near the intersection of U.S. 87 and S.H. 97. Troopers from the Texas Department of Public Safety Highway Patrol responded to the scene of this wreck, along with another rollover wreck involving a commercial vehicle on U.S. 181 south of Falls City. Details of either crash were not immediately available.

The intersections of Hwy 87 and 97, where this accident occurred, is always dangerous. Tx DOT did revamp the Hwy 87 portion of that intersection recently but the speeds posted are, in my humble opinion, still too high for... More ›
