1942-2014

Vonnie Marie Allen passed away on Tuesday, March 18, 2014, in Floresville at the age of 71 years, 4 months, and 29 days. She was born Oct. 19, 1942, in Wichita Falls, Texas, to Orville Percy and Flossie Mae Nelson Miser.

Vonnie was a resident of Floresville for 11 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents Gus and Lelar Lee Miser; and son Timothy Allen.

Vonnie is survived by her children, Pamela Maria Allen and partner Alan McMahan of San Antonio, Robert Allen and partner Betty Jo Escobedo of Floresville, and Dana Allen of Gatesville; brothers William Sullivan and wife Fern of Oregon and Jerry Miser and wife Diana of Olney; grandchildren Miracle, Wynter, and Tyler Allen and Hillary Escobedo; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.

A celebration of her life was held on Saturday, March 29, at 2 p.m. in the Floresville River Park.
