Stanley H. Anthony, 71, of La Vernia, Texas, passed away on Monday, March 31, 2014. He was born on Feb. 9, 1943, in Albuquerque, N.M., to J.P. and Mary (Henderson) Anthony.

Stanley served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War and retired from the U.S. Army.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son Michael Anthony; and sister Gerri White.

He is survived by his loving wife, JoAnn Anthony; son Matthew Anthony and wife Jennifer; daughter Michelle Flagett and husband Dale; grandchildren, Jason, Cyren, and Tiffany; brother Scott Anthony; numerous nieces and nephews; and many loving friends.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 6, from 5-8 p.m. in the Finch Funeral Chapel in La Vernia.

A graveside service will be held on Monday at 11:15 a.m. in the Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio.
