Lydia “Lilly” Dominguez Barrera, 79, passed away Thursday, March 27, 2014, in Stockdale, Texas. Lilly was born Sept. 20, 1934, to Tomas and Jael (Martinez) Dominguez in Goliad.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Tomas Dominguez Jr.; and sisters Lupe Frausto and Olivia Strong.

Lilly is survived by her husband, Jose Barrera; her children, Henry D. Brown, Gilbert D. Brown, Hector D. Brown, Sandra J. Ibrom, Saul Bosquez, Venicia Monita, Joe Leanard Barrera, and Ronda Barrera-Deagen; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers, Antonio Dominguez, Daniel Dominguez, and Joe Dominguez; and sisters Frances Carter and Carmen Nay.

Visitation was held Monday, March 31, from 5-8 p.m. in the Finch Funeral Chapel of Stockdale.

A funeral service was held Tuesday, April 1, at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Kenneth Klapp officiating.

Interment followed in the Stockdale Cemetery in Stockdale.
