(New information posted 4/7/14 at 4:30 pm) Former Wilson County Pct. 1 Justice of the Peace Emilio V. Flores of Floresville is safe and sound, according to Wilson County Sheriff Joe D. Tackitt Jr. Just before 3:40 p.m., Tackitt informed the Wilson County News that Flores was found by U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials manning a checkpoint south of Kingsville.

Tackitt said Flores was found on the roadside and was said to be disoriented.

Flores was the subject of a Silver Alert issued April 6 by the Texas Department of Public Safety Highway Patrol, after the 77-year-old did not return home from a morning trip to the Floresville post office.
