1921-2014

Betty Proxie “Maw” Wiatrek Watkins of San Antonio passed away on Sunday, March 23, 2014. She was born on Feb. 26, 1921, in Kosciusko, Texas, to Leon and Maria Wiatrek.

She was very proud that she was able to watch all her kids graduate from high school without any “peer pressure.” Great job, Mom! We miss you, said the family.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George A. Watkins Sr.; her son, Isaac D. Watkins; daughter Bonnie J. Soto; brothers, Conrad, Emil, and Edmond; and sister Susie Wiatrek.

She is survived by her children, George A. Watkins Jr., Michael, Jerry, Shirley, Linda Boubel, John, Patrick, Betty Connally, Florence Boyd, Thomas, and Cindy Pavlich; her sister, Sylvia Dzuik and husband Tommy; 15 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

No funeral services will be held.
