Dorothy Louise Mosley Veneklasen passed away on Friday, April 4, 2014, in Floresville at the age of 81 years, 10 months, and 10 days. She was born on Aug. 24, 1932, in Athens, Texas, to John T. and Edith A. Singleton Mosley.

She was a resident of Floresville for four years.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lester Veneklasen; one sister; and three brothers.

She is survived by her children, Deborah Francis of Wellington, Colo., and John Veneklasen of Lancaster, Calif.; sisters Mary Matjeka of Seguin, Grace Roth and husband Douglas of Floresville, Gladys Padier of San Antonio, Margaret Sonnier and husband Alex of Floresville, June Oliver of San Antonio, and Sudie Mosley and husband Stanley of Converse; grandchildren Tracy Navaritti, Dustin Veneklasen, and Danny Veneklasen; three great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
