Mr. and Mrs. David Haverlah of Poth, Texas, are proud to announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Megan Elizabeth, to Ryan Jacob Anderson, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Anderson of Poth.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Aubrey Marshall of Waco, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Novak of Floresville, and Dr. and Mrs. Gene Haverlah of Del Rio.

Megan is a 2010 graduate of Poth High School and graduated from Howard Payne University in 2013 with a degree in communications.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Jacobs of Freeport, Ill., and Floyd Anderson of Poplar Grove, Ill., and the late Lois Anderson.

Ryan is also a 2010 graduate of Poth High School. He is currently attending the U.S. Air Force Academy, pursuing a degree in astronautical engineering, and plans to graduate in 2014. Upon graduation, Ryan will be a second lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force stationed at Los Angeles Air Force Base in California as a developmental engineer.

The couple are planning a June 2014 wedding in the U.S. Air Force Academy Chapel in Colorado Springs, Colo.
