Floresville South Elementary School administration and staff would like to congratulate the following students who participated in UIL this year:

Storytelling

Second grade: Paul Rodriguez, Heaven Gomez, Keira Middleton, and Clementine Bolding

Third grade: Jaden Merecka, Megan Yelton, and Elizabeth Hierholzer. Clementine Bolding and Jaden Merecka placed sixth in the competition for each of their grade levels.

Ready Writing:

Third grade: Keegan Lafferty, Aracely Quiroz, and Colton Keiser

Fourth grade: Eliana Guevara, Tyler Penlerick, Madisyn Terrell, and Trent Svacina.

Aracely Quiroz placed fifth for third grade and Madisyn Terrell placed sixth for fourth grade.

Music Memory:

Third grade: Madison Jordan, Elisa Morales, and Sonya Dunham

Fourth grade: Yamila Rillorta and Gabriela Silva

Fifth grade: Joshua Sanchez, Hillary Escobedo, and Alyssa Estep.

Elisa Morales placed sixth and Madison Jordan placed third out of all third-graders.

Gabriela Silva placed fourth and Yamila Rillorta placed third for all fourth-graders.

Alyssa Estep placed sixth, Joshua Sanchez placed fifth, and Hillary Escobedo took first place for all fifth-graders.

Oral Reading:

Fourth grade: Kaeden Angle, Phyrnchezka Travieso Nieto, and Ginger Lowak

Fifth grade: Emmalee Siegel and Capri Montgomery

Ginger Lowak placed fourth out of all fourth-graders.

Capri Montgomery placed fifth out of all fifth-graders.

All UIL participants received recognition at the PTA meeting held on April 7. Each participant received a UIL Certificate of Participation and was awarded their medals for the places they earned at the UIL District Meet in Poteet.
