FLORESVILLE -- The Floresville High School junior varsity Maroon baseball team concluded its season last Wednesday night with a pair of victories over McCollum, 13-3 and 8-3.

The Tigers ended the year with an outstanding record of 18 wins and three losses, as well as a District 29-4A record of 12 wins and one loss. Impressively, 10 games were won by 10 or more runs, and the Tigers beat both the Lanier and Southside varsity teams in tournament play.

Tyler Antos led the Tiger hitters with a batting average of .585, followed by KoKo Wilkerson with a .407 average, and Logan Hopkins with an even .400.

Logan Hopkins, Tres May, Cory Felix, Jacob Gusme, and Antos were the team’s top pitchers.

Other members of the junior varsity Maroon team include Mark Ascencio, Bradley Bunn, Bradley Davis, Parker Jackson, Javier Luna, Louis Salinas, Preston Taggs, and Matthew Trevino.
