Viola Jansky Brown, a lifelong resident of Floresville, Texas, passed away on Sunday, April 20, 2014, in Floresville at the age of 90 years, 2 months, and 7 days. She was born on Feb. 13, 1924, in Yoakum to Louis and Emily Krauskoph Jansky.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Leroy Webster Brown; son James Leon Clark; five sisters; and two brothers.

Viola is survived by her children, Melissa A. Lopez and husband Alex Lopez Jr. of La Vernia and Jeffrey W. Clark and wife Sharon of Floresville; sisters Georgia Ullman and Lolly Lange, both of Floresville; grandsons Luke Clark, Keith Clark, Mitchell Lackey, and Chance Lopez; great-grandsons Jesse Clark, Jason Clark, and Devon Lackey; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 25, at 6 p.m. in the Franklin Funeral Home in Floresville.

A funeral service was held on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home chapel, with the Rev. Sil Ornelas officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Luke Clark, Keith Clark, Chance Lopez, Warren Dale Favors, Darren Lange, and Nicholas Sifuentez.
