Offer condolences


Jimmie Berta Haese, a resident of McCoy, Texas, entered eternal rest Friday, April 25, 2014, in her residence in McCoy, at the age of 83 years, 4 months, and 23 days. Jimmie was born Dec. 2, 1930, in Floresville, the daughter of James Hunter and Letha Leona Dennis Bundrick.

Jimmie married John T. Buddy Haese on Aug. 22, 1950, in Floresville. She was a homemaker and was of the Protestant faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband of more than 55 years, John T. Buddy Haese; and her sisters, Alma Lee Miller, Corrine McGowen, and Marthajo Baird.

Jimmie is survived by her children, Pat Kopecki and husband Chester of McCoy, Gail Licea and husband David of San Antonio, and Jan Conn and husband Gene of McCoy; stepson John Haese of Helotes; grandchildren Jill Svoboda and husband Tim of McCoy, Jimmie Jo Garcia and husband Alejandro of San Antonio, Travis Conn and wife Heather of McCoy, Noelle Neudorfer of McCoy, Leslie Stehling and husband Russell of Boerne, and Aaron Kopecki and wife Denver of McCoy; great-grandchildren Ashtyn and Jayci Svoboda, Cooper, Kenna, and Chloe Conn, Nate and Ethan Kopecki, Nick and Sloan Neudorfer, Blake, Luke, and Reid Stehling, and Madyson and Turner Garcia; brother-in-law Billy Haese; and cousin Evelyn Haese.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 28, at 10 a.m. in the Vinyard Funeral Home Chapel in Floresville.

A funeral service was held on Monday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel, officiated by Pastor Aaron Coffey of the First Baptist Church in Floresville.

Interment followed in the Dewees Cemetery in Wilson County.

Serving as pallbearers were Aaron Kopecki, Travis Conn, Russell Stehling, Tim Svoboda, Alejandro Garcia III, and Cooper Conn.
