1968-2014

Keith A. Felts, 45, of Del Rio, Texas, passed away Thursday, April 17, 2014. Keith was born Sept. 6, 1968, in San Antonio to Ray A. and Martha J. (Ferguson) Felts.

A graduate of Del Rio High School, Keith had spent the last few years living and working in Uvalde at Credit Motor Co. Keith had a great love for the outdoors and enjoyed watching the deer and wildlife in his back yard. He showed great compassion to his neighbors and never passed up an opportunity to provide them with a good barbecue plate and sweet tea.

His compassionate heart extended also to animals, as he adored his dogs, Chica and Katarina. Keith’s friendly and loving spirit always made you feel welcome, his family said. His joking ways and sense of humor had a way of reminding you that he was really just a kid at heart. He was there to make your day brighter through his humor and infectious laugh.

The greatest joy in his life was watching his son, Haden, grow up and bless him with a grandson. Keith was a loving son, brother, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend.

He is survived by his parents, Ray and Martha Felts; a son, Haden Felts; grandson Austin Felts; brother Rusel Felts and wife Adriana; sister Lanna Knodel and husband Darrel; and nieces and nephew Heather Knodel, Dillon Knodel, Hannah Felts, Katie Felts, and Sara Felts.

Visitation was held Monday, April 21, from 8-11 a.m. with a funeral service immediately following in the Hurley Funeral Home Chapel in Pleasanton.

Interment followed in the Pleasanton City Cemetery in Pleasanton.

Memorial donations may be made to Del Rio Animal Shelter, 203 Avenue P, Del Rio, TX 78840.
