ON-CALL CRISIS POOL WORKERS NEEDED. Part-time positions are available for after hours “on-call” crisis workers to respond to mental health crisis for Wilson and Karnes Counties. Duties include crisis interventions, assessments, referrals to stabilization services, and referrals for involuntary treatment services according to the Texas Mental Health Laws. You must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, sociology, social work, nursing, etc. On-call hours are from 5 p.m.-8 a.m. weekdays, weekends and holidays vary. If selected, you must attend required training and must be able to report to designated safe sites within 1 hour of request for assessment. St. Anthony’s Parish in Elmendorf is proud to announce the institution of a newly formed court of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas. Court Mary, Queen of Angels No. 2673 was instituted on Feb. 16, during the 11:30 a.m. Mass.

Officers include Madame Regent Teresa De Los Santos, Vice Regent Maggie Aguilera, Recording Secretary Andrea Aguilera, Financial Secretary Lori Marroquin, Treasurer Emma Saenz, and Chaplain Father Andrew Kafara.

Forty-nine charter members were inducted by State Regent Peggy Rosales of Austin. First Vice Regent Eva Trevino of Corpus Christi and District Deputy Lydia Martinez of Floresville assisted the state regent. Catholic Daughters of nine area courts were present for the ceremony. Court Mary, Queen of Peace No. 2497 of Sacred Heart Parish in Floresville was the host court, assisted by Court St. Ann Mother of Mary No. 2649 of La Vernia, Knights of Columbus Council No. 6641 of Floresville, and Knights of Columbus No. 8036 of Elmendorf and Saspamco.

Meetings are held at 7 p.m. on the second Thursday of every month in the St. Anthony parish hall.
