Seguin artist Robin H. Roberts Walker’s composition, “Rancho Blanco Arroyo,” is on display at the Radius Center, 106 Auditorium Circle in San Antonio, after the Texas Watercolor Society announced the accepted artists for the society’s 65th annual National Watercolor Exhibition. The exhibition continues through Thursday, May 29.

“It is a great honor to be accepted into this national show,” Walker said. “There were over 350 entries and only 60 pieces were accepted. Believe me, I have waited more years than I care to disclose for this opportunity to be included in among some of the finest watercolors from all around the United States.”

Entries were submitted from Wisconsin, California, Florida, Oregon, Washington, Arizona, and, of course, all over Texas.

The Best of Show winner will receive $2,000 in prize money; more than 20 prizes will be presented during an awards ceremony, set for 6 p.m. Saturday, May 3, at the Radius Center in San Antonio, next to the new Tobin Center for the Performing Arts. Members of the public are invited to attend, especially watercolor artists who would like to become part of the team staging these exhibitions.

The society’s board will hold a short business meeting at 4 p.m. May 3.
