Hay & Forage report
Friday, April 25
Compared to last week: Hay prices were unchanged as hay movement remains quiet as many producers are waiting until new crop to establish current prices. Rain and a few severe storms are expected for the later part of the week for central and the panhandle areas of Texas. Trade activity was light and demand was good to very good. The Panhandle and west Texas remain in a drought. Supplemental feeding continues across the state as most regions are in despite need of moisture and hay resources are continuing to get very limited. Prices for hay and pellets quoted per ton except where noted.
