Heritage Days Hog Hunt is May 2-4
Calling all hog hunters in Atascosa and surrounding counties! The Hog Hunt is one event of Heritage Days set for Friday through Sunday, May 2-4, celebrating the 11th anniversary of Cowboy Fellowship.
Teams may sign up on May 2 from 6-9 p.m. at 561 F.M. 3360 on the campus of Cowboy Fellowship. Entry fees are $150 per team to be paid in cash only. Teams should consist of one to four hunters and be entered in the knife or gun competitions.
Weigh-ins will be Saturday and Sunday from 8-10 a.m. Team captains must be present at all weigh-ins. All team members must attend church Sunday at 10:45 a.m. to qualify for the prizes.
Prizes include $2,000 added money this year. There will be a 100 percent payout for
“Heaviest String of Four Hogs.” Three jackpots for heaviest boar (no cut hogs), heaviest sow, and longest cutters will be awarded per category.
