1929-2014

Retired U.S. Air Force Tech. Sgt. Elgin B. Allen Sr., 84, of Stockdale, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, April 29, 2014. He was born on Aug. 24, 1929, in San Antonio to A.C. and Peggy (Siebeneicher) Allen.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Judith Allen; his parents; and brother Buddy Allen.

Elgin is survived by his children, Elgin Allen Jr. and wife Rachel, Richard A. Allen Sr., and Susan Bohmann and husband Ronnie; niece Debbie Jacques; grandchildren Jamie Allen, Jacqui Allen, Brianna Allen, Trae Allen, Richard A. Allen Jr. and wife Jill, Bradley Allen and wife Shelley, Annie Bagnato and husband Ben, Wayne Bohmann, and Lesley Bohmann; great-granddaughter Lila Rose Bagnato; and many friends.

Visitation was held on Saturday, May 3, at 9 a.m. in the Finch Funeral Chapel in Stockdale.

A funeral service was held Saturday at 10 a.m. in the funeral chapel officiated by Pastor Scott Jones.

Interment followed in the Stockdale Cemetery in Stockdale.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
