1956-2014

Kevin M. “Sonny” Kotara, 57, of Sutherland Springs, Texas, passed away on Sunday, April 27, 2014. He was born on Nov. 18, 1956, in Floresville to Fred J. and Theresa (Kalisek) Kotara.

Sonny was preceded in death by his father.

He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Mary Kotara; mother Theresa Kotara; sons Richard Guerrero and Nicholas Guerrero; grandchildren Shaylyn Moehrig, Serenity Guerrero, Leila Guerrero and mother Jadyn Hill, and Conlee Guerrero; great-grandson Gabriel Moehrig Yzaguirre; brothers Fred Kotara and Flavian Kotara; sisters Mitzi Frazier and husband Denny and Denise Stanush and husband Gary; numerous nieces and nephews; and many loving friends.

Visitation was held Wednesday, April 30, from 5-7 p.m., with a rosary at 7 p.m. in the Finch Funeral Chapel in La Vernia.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
