Lambert F. Pawelek, born Aug. 1, 1927, to Alois and Emelia (Skloss) Pawelek, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 29, 2014, at the age of 86. Lambert was born in Falls City, Texas, and lived most of his adult life in San Antonio.

He proudly served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

Lambert is survived by his wife, Maxine Pawelek; children Cathleen Vackar and Gail Emily Webster; stepdaughter Glenda Verkerk and husband Dyke; grandchildren Brent, Nathan, Emily, Stephen, and Rachel; stepgrandchildren Lindsey and Landon; sisters Elsie and Chris; sisters-in-law Betty and Dorothy; brothers Archie and wife Gladys, Chester and wife Elaine, Ben and wife Marie, and Webb and wife Dorothy.

Visitation was held Sunday, May 4, from 6-9 p.m. with a rosary recited at 7 p.m. in the Mission Park Funeral Chapels South.

Services were held Monday at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral chapel.

Interment followed in the Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio.
