1942-2014

Angelita Morales Almendarez, a lifelong resident of Stockdale, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, April 30, 2014, in Stockdale at the age of 72 years, 1 month, and 20 days. She was born on March 10, 1942, in Wilson County to Martin and Ramona Barnhardt Morales.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Eloisa “Susie” Reyna and Otilia Castillo; and brothers Roberto Morales, Ricky B. Pantoja, and Pasquel Romero-Almendarez.

Angelita is survived by her husband, Marcos Medina of Stockdale; children Rosa Garza of Stockdale, Diana Albagaria of San Antonio, Sylvia Deleon and husband Richard Lynn of Stockdale, Linda Almendarez of Floresville, Jose Morales and wife Melissa of Oklahoma, and Roland Almendarez of Elmendorf; sisters Elida Rodriguez of San Antonio and Mauricia Sandoval of Sutherland Springs; 20 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.

A memorial service and inurnment will be held at a later date.
