A severe thunderstorm watch is in effect until 7 p.m. CDT for the following Texas counties: Atascosa, Bandera, Bastrop, Bexar, Blanco, Burnet, Caldwell, Comal, Dewitt, Dimmit, Edwards, Fayette, Frio, Gillespie, Gonzales, Guadalupe, Hays, Karnes, Kendall, Kerr, Kinney, Lavaca, Lee, Llano, Maverick, Medina, Real, Travis, Uvalde, Williamson, Wilson, and Zavala.

According to weather.gov, a severe thunderstorm by definition is a thunderstorm that produces 1-inch hail or larger in diameter and/or winds of or exceeding 58 miles an hour. The size of the watch can vary, depending on the weather situation. During the watch, people should review severe thunderstorm safety rules and be prepared to move to a place of safety if threatening weather approaches.
