Offer condolences


Glenn Thomas Dirks, 50, of St. Hedwig, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, May 6, 2014. He was born on Nov. 18, 1963, to Edgar and Elizabeth (Schindler) Dirks.

Glenn loved everything to do with golfing and spending time with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Dirks; and nephew Mark Nichols.

Glenn is survived by his father, Edgar A. Dirks; siblings Ron Dirks and wife Karene, Wayne Dirks and wife Cindy, Danny Dirks and wife Mary Ann, Greg Dirks and daughter Tiffany, Doug Dirks and wife Jade, and Mary Ann Nichols and husband Rick; numerous nieces and nephews; and many loving friends.

Visitation was held on Sunday, May 11, from 5-9 p.m. in the Finch Funeral Chapel in La Vernia.

A funeral service was held on Monday at 10 a.m. in the funeral chapel, officiated by Dr. Richard Rupp.

Interment followed in the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Cemetery in St. Hedwig.
