The Stockdale Junior High School tennis team participated in the District 28-2A tennis tournament May 3 in Hallettsville. The athletes played hard, with Stockdale ending up in six of the nine finals matches.

Collin Akin finished as the district champion in eighth-grade boys singles. Alex McInvale and Trenton Jordan also participated in the first round of singles play. Thomas Burrier and Jacob Vaughan finished second in eighth-grade boys doubles, while teammates Jalen Cano and Enoch Clapp participated in the first round of doubles play.

Brahma teammates Marcos Marquez and Dawson Lerma faced each other in the finals of seventh-grade boys singles play. Marquez emerged as the district champion, and Dawson was the runner-up. In doubles play, it was once again an all Stockdale final, as Christian Aguilar and Tyler Forester faced Jacob Hernandez and Travis Gutierrez. Aguilar and Forester won the championship, while Hernandez and Gutierrez finished second. Mark Hernandez and Avery Monita participated in the first round of boys doubles.

In the seventh-grade girls singles division, Stockdale produced another district champion, as Theresa Vela placed first. In seventh-grade doubles play, Jazmin Navarro and Morgan Brysch finished second.

Karlye Lynn and Cayci Mills finished as district champions in the eighth-grade girls doubles division. Madison Fitzsimon and Callye McGee finished in fourth place in doubles play.
