Letter: Dufresne supports ‘same old bull’
Re: “Republicans turn blind eye to Medicare expansion,” May 14.
In predictable Saul Alinsky fashion, JC Dufresne has tried to berate Christian conservatives into feeling bad about Texas’ decision not to participate in that failure of an attempt to socialize the American medical system known as Obamacare.
He tosses out the figures of a couple of “studies” done by known leftist organizations, tosses in the old Democratic standby of telling us how Obamacare was modeled after Romney’s Massachusetts’ legislation. In other words, the same old bull.
But, praise the Lord, he has also told us how we can redeem ourselves and show that we are true to our Christian principles by going against our Christian conservative principles and voting for two Democrats!
Now, I don’t know about other Christians but if I remember right, it was the Democrats that booed God not once but three times at their last convention. It’s the Democrats that believe in the wholesale slaughter of unborn babies and think the American taxpayer should pay for it whether they agree with the practice or not. It is the Democratic Party that is suppressing Christians’ rights in the military, in our schools, and in every aspect of American life they can. It was the Democrat president who proclaimed that the “United States is no longer a Christian nation.”
In other words, Mr. Dufresne, I don’t think anyone should be taking advice on Christian principles from any representative of the Democrat Party. The two just don’t seem to be in agreement as to just what those principles are.
