Gary B. Mitchell, 60, of Pleasanton, Texas, passed away on Sunday, May 18, 2014. He was born on July 31, 1953, in Fort Worth to Jack R. and Tishie (Couvillon) Mitchell. He was preceded in death by his father, Jack R. Mitchell; brother Mark Mitchell; uncle Bernard Couvillon; and beloved grandparents, Willie B. and Cleo Couvillon.

Gary is survived by his loving wife, Sandra Jo Mitchell; sons Rickey Joe Mitchell and wife Amanda and Garrett Mitchell and wife Vikki; mother Tish Hutt; brother John Paul Mitchell and wife Mona; grandchildren Gregory, Alexandria, Christopher Sikes-Mitchell, Ryland Mitchell, and Isis Ramos; stepgranddaughters Jenna and Alyssa Sprinkle; numerous nieces and nephews; and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 22, from 5-8 p.m. in the Finch Funeral Chapel in Stockdale.

A funeral service will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. in St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Stockdale, with the Rev. Dennis Jarzombek to officiate.

Interment will follow in the Stockdale Cemetery in Stockdale.

Memorial contributions may be made by way of Masses or to a charity of one’s choice.
