Luensmann, Hilscher to wed
Fred “Henry” Hilscher Jr. and Claire Allyn Luensmann
Mark and Terri Luensmann of La Vernia, Texas, are pleased to announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Claire Allyn, to Fred “Henry” Hilscher Jr., the son of Fred and Carolyn Hilscher of Shiner.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Wallace and Joyce Real of Converse and Walter and Dorothy Luensmann of St. Hedwig.
Claire, a 2009 graduate of La Vernia High School, received her Bachelor of Science in agricultural economics in 2012 from Texas A&M University and her master’s degree in agricultural economics in 2014 from Kansas State University. She is employed as a supply and demand analyst with Cargill in Blair, Neb.
The prospective groom is the grandson of Gladys Hoelscher of Columbus and the late Albert Hoelscher, and the late Anton and Esther Mae Hilscher, formerly of Weimar.
Henry graduated from Shiner High School in 2008 and received his Bachelor of Science in animal science in 2012 from Texas A&M University. He will graduate with a master’s degree in ruminant nutrition in August 2014 from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and begin work on a Ph.D. this fall.
The couple plan to wed on Saturday, July 26, 2014, in the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in St. Hedwig, Texas.
