SAN ANTONIO -- The San Antonio Scorpions will clash with two of the most popular teams in North America this summer as Club de Fútbol Tigres de la UANL and Club de Fútbol Monterrey of Liga MX will each visit Toyota Field.

First, three-time Liga MX Primera División champions Tigres will face off against the Scorpions at Toyota Field on Saturday, June 21, at 7:30 p.m. Then, on Sunday, July 6, at 6 p.m., four-time CONCACAF trophy winners Monterrey will make their first appearance ever at Toyota Field and play their first-ever match against the Scorpions as part of the Rayados’ SocioMX Tour presented by Coors Light.

The international friendlies are included in the package offered to Scorpions season ticket holders. Season ticket holders will also have the opportunity to purchase additional tickets in a presale that started May 8.

“The Scorpions are excited to host both the Rayados and Tigres at Toyota Field,” said Scorpions Team President Howard Cornfield. “Each boasts a huge fan base in the area and these games, coming at the height of the World Cup, are a great opportunity for us to be an active part of this exciting time in the world of soccer.”

“Monterrey and Tigres are two of the most successful teams in our part of the world and we look forward to testing ourselves against sides of their quality,” said Head Coach Alen Marcina. “Our fans will be eager to see these matchups and I anticipate an unforgettable atmosphere for each game.”

Tickets went on sale to the general public on May 10, and are available at the Toyota Field box office, by calling the Scorpions at 210-495-8686, or through Ticketmaster with tickets for each match starting at $25.
