Compared to last week: Compared to last week: Hay prices were firm on all classes this week as new crop has finally emerged and the market is being established. Trade activity was moderate to good and demand was very good. Most regions of the state remain in a drought. Supplemental feeding continues across the state as most regions are in despite need of moisture and hay resources are continuing to get very limited, even with new hay available. Prices for hay and pellets quoted per ton except where noted.

North, Central, & East Texas

Alfalfa: Large Squares: Delivered: Premium to Supreme $285.

Coastal Bermuda: Small Squares: FOB: Good to Premium $200-$230, $6-$7 per bale.

Large Rounds: FOB: Good to Premium $60-$80 per roll, $120-$160 per ton, Good $50 per roll, $100 per ton.

South Texas Hay Report

Coastal Bermuda: Small squares: FOB: Good to Premium $230-$265, $6-$8 per bale; Fair to Good $165-$230, $5-$6 per bale.

Large rounds: FOB and delivered locally: Good to Premium $120-$130; $60-$65 per roll.
