CASA OUTREACH COORDINATOR, FULL-TIME POSITION, provides professional staff support to CASA volunteers to ensure that the best interests of abused children in the foster care system are represented in court. Social services experience required. Responsible for recruiting and facilitating advocate training, making community presentations, and coordinating cases in Wilson and Karnes Counties with Atascosa County (home office). Must demonstrate written and oral communication skills. Must be available to work intermittent evenings/weekends with some travel.  Must pass background checks, have personal car, current TDL, and auto liability insurance. Tornado warning for Atascosa, Wilson counties

The National Weather Service in Austin San Antonio has issued a tornado warning for eastern Atascosa County in South Central Texas, including the city of Campbellton; west central Karnes County; and southwestern Wilson County until 4 p.m. At 3:18 p.m., meteorologists detected a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado 11 miles northwest of Campbellton, or 9 miles southeast of Pleasanton, moving southeast at 20 mph. This storm is capable of producing 1-inch hail and destructive straight line winds.

A severe tornado watch remains in effect until 11 p.m. Tuesday evening for South Central Texas including Atascosa, Bandera, Bexar, Blanco, Caldwell, Comal, DeWitt, Gillespie, Gonzales, Guadalupe, Hays, Karnes, Kendall, Kerr, Lavaca, Medina, and Wilson counties.
