Offer condolences


Angel C. Parra passed away on Wednesday, May 28, 2014, in Floresville, Texas, at the age of 63 years, 9 months, and 28 days. He was born on Aug. 1, 1950, in Colima, Mexico, to Pedro and Guadalupe Cendejas Parra.

He was a former resident of San Antonio and a Floresville resident for 32 years.

Angel was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters.

He is survived by his wife, Rosalinda Sanchez Parra of Floresville; sons Jose Angel Parra and wife Jacki, Juan Carlos Parra and wife Jamie, Michael Isaac Parra, and Thomas Frank Parra, all of Floresville; 13 sisters and brothers; seven grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.

Visitation was held on Friday, May 30, at 6 p.m. with a rosary at 7 p.m. in the Franklin Funeral Home in Floresville.

A funeral Mass was celebrated on Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Floresville, officiated by the Rev. Frank Kurzaj.

Interment followed in the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Floresville.

Serving as pallbearers were Jose Angel Parra, Juan Carlos Parra, Michael Isaac Parra, Thomas Frank Parra, Pedro Parra, and Audel Parra.
