Chloe Patton returns to national championships
Chloe Patton of Poth is all smiles after her club volleyball team, Alamo 14 Premier National, finished well enough at regionals to earn a trip to Minnesota to compete in the USA Volleyball Girls Junior National Championships. This is the second year in a row Patton and her team have qualified for the national tournament. They finished third last year.

For the second time in as many years, Chloe Patton of Poth will compete in the annual USA Volleyball Girls Junior National Championships.

Patton, an eighth-grade student at Poth Junior High School, is a standout athlete among her peers, and has once again helped her club volleyball team, Alamo 14 Premier National, to earn a national bid. San Antonio played host to the USA Volleyball Lone Star Regionals this year, and the Alamo 14 team grabbed one of the top two spots, thereby earning the members a shot at nationals.

The 35th annual USA Volleyball Girls Junior National Championships will be held from June 24 through July 3 in Minneapolis, Minn.

Patton’s club team finished third to win bronze medals in last year’s national tournament, and she is hoping for another successful showing this season.

Patton will continue playing club volleyball throughout the summer months. In August, she will begin her high school volleyball career as a freshman member of the Poth Pirette volleyball team.

Congratulations and good luck to Patton and the entire Alamo 14 Premier National team.
