Ronnie Eckel of Lyssy & Eckel Inc. of Poth was re-elected as a director of the Texas Grain & Feed Association during the 116th annual meeting of the Texas Grain & Feed Association in San Antonio in early April. The new board members’ terms will expire in 2017.

Chris Breedlove of Willacy Coop, Raymondville, was elected chairman. Joining Breedlove are First Vice Chairman John Long of W.H. Nigh & Co., Houston; and Second Vice President Jerry Stephenson of Westway Feed Products, Tomball. CAE/President Ben Boerner of Fort Worth was re-elected to that position.

The board of directors will focus on informing the grain and feed members of recently passed regulatory laws regarding food, feed, and facility safety.

As a service to the membership, the Texas Grain & Feed Association will be holding regional programs and dinners across the state.
