Four Stockdale High School students advanced to UIL state high school academic competition, with three placing among the top 10 in the state.

Carley Trout placed fourth in headline writing May 20, at the competition held at the University of Texas at Austin.

Shelby Freasier and Shannon Freasier placed fifth and eighth, respectively, in computer applications. Also attending the May 21 meet was Jessica Stevens, state alternate in computer applications.

Prior to competition, a sendoff was held May 20, as the students set off for Austin.
