While NASCAR Sprint Cup Series regular Kyle Busch drove into victory lane after last Saturday's Nationwide Series race at Dover (Del.) International Speedway, Regan Smith maintained his position atop the Nationwide Series driver championship points standings. He holds a four-point lead over second-place driver Elliott Sadler, heading into an off-weekend for the series.

Chase Elliott, who was the points leader a few weeks ago, sits third in the standings, 22 points behind his JR Motorsports teammate, Smith. Smith, Sadler and Elliott are the only three series championship-eligible drivers to make their ways to victory lane, so far, this year, 12 races into the season. Elliott leads the way with two wins, while Smith and Sadler each have one victory apiece.

Here's a look at the Nationwide Series driver points standings after 12 races (statistics courtesy of NASCAR Statistics):

1. Regan Smith, leader
2. Elliott Sadler, -4
3. Chase Elliott, -22
4. Trevor Bayne, -27
5. Ty Dillon, -34
6. Brian Scott, -57
7. Brendan Gaughan, -107
8. James Buescher, -116
9. Chris Buescher, -120
10. Dylan Kwasniewski, -145

When it comes to the owner points standings in the Nationwide Series, the top positions are occupied by teams that utilize the services of Sprint Cup Series drivers to keep their cars at the top. The No. 54 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota team, with Kyle Busch often as its driver, leads the owner standings by 48 points over the No. 22 Team Penske Ford, with Sprint Cuppers Brad Keselowski and Joey Logano primarily sharing driving duties. The No. 42 Turner Scott Motorsports Chevrolet, driven primarily by Sprint Cup rookie Kyle Larson is in third. The highest of any car with a full-time Nationwide Series regular as driver is the No. 7 JR Motorsports Chevrolet, driven by Regan Smith. The No. 7 team is fourth in the standings, 77 points out of the lead.

Here's a look at the top-10 of the Nationwide Series owner points standings:

1. No. 54 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota, leader
2. No. 22 Team Penske Ford, -48
3. No. 42 Turner Scott Motorsports Chevrolet, -64
4. No. 7 JR Motorsports Chevrolet, -77
5. No. 11 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota, -81
6. No. 9 JR Motorsports Chevrolet, -99
7. No. 6 Roush Fenway Racing Ford, -104
7. No. 20 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota, -104
