WEATHER

Texas -- According to weather.com, the skies over Fort Worth, Texas, host of this weekend’s Camping World Truck Series race are mostly cloudy but are clearing tonight as the series takes to the track at Texas Motor Speedway for two practice sessions. Rain is expected to stay away.

On Friday, race and qualifying day, rain is also out of the forcast. As a matter-of-fact, skies are expected to be sunny, come qualifying time, and are expected to remain clear as night falls for the scheduled night race. Friday’s temperatures are expected to reach a daytime high of 97 degrees and drop to an overnight low of 73 degrees.

Pocono -- Meanwhile, in Long Pond, Pa., location of Pocono Raceway, which is hosting the Sprint Cup Series, there’s no rain in the forecast for qualifying and practice sessions on Friday and Saturday. On Friday temperatures sare expected to reach 71 degrees before dropping to 50 degrees Friday night. Saturday will be warmer, with a high temperature of 78 degrees predicted. The low Saturday is expected to drop to 55 degrees.

Sunday, race day, though, there is a slight chance of rain, but not much. The chance of rain on Sunday is at 10 percent under a partly cloudy sky. Sunday’s expected high temperature is 79 degrees, with an overnight low of 58 degrees.
