Franklin, I believe that the parcel is too small to merit any significant fine for the neighbor(s) refusing to comply with a County Clerk's instruction to provide a easement. I think the acreage has to be 1280 to merit... More ›

I think that one of the property owners that are closest to the nearest road has to provide an easement. It might take suing them, but I believe an easement has to be given by law. Id check with the Commissioner in the Precinct... More ›

Muse....A quick check indicates that prior to 1995, it was possible to purchase land locked property without any type of easement. I think Glenn has the right idea.

I didn't think a parcel of land could be landlocked. I thought, perhaps erroneously, that access had to be given by easement. If not, you should have straightened out access prior to buying the land. How do you get to the... More ›
