Help Wanted

ON-CALL CRISIS POOL WORKERS NEEDED. Part-time positions are available for after hours “on-call” crisis workers to respond to mental health crisis for Wilson and Karnes Counties. Duties include crisis interventions, assessments, referrals to stabilization services, and referrals for involuntary treatment services according to the Texas Mental Health Laws. You must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, sociology, social work, nursing, etc. On-call hours are from 5 p.m.-8 a.m. weekdays, weekends and holidays vary. If selected, you must attend required training and must be able to report to designated safe sites within 1 hour of request for assessment. Compensation is at a rate of $200 per week plus $100 per completed and submitted crisis assessment, and mileage. If interested call Camino Real Community Services, 210-357-0359.

Patricia “Pat” Ann Carroll, 74, of San Antonio, Texas, went to be with the Lord Monday, June 2, 2014. She was born Sept. 17, 1939.

Pat retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. and was a lifelong member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. Pat was a member of China Grove Area Lions Club, past district governor of Lions Club, and first woman president of Texas Lions Camp of Kerrville. She was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Bexar County Sheriff’s Mounted Posse. Pat was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She also co-owned Herb’s Hat Shop in San Antonio. She was a lifetime member of the San Antonio Livestock Show & Rodeo. She now joins her husband, Herb Carroll, in eternal rest.

Pat is survived by her mother, Robbie Tadlock; sister Donna Davis and husband Charlie; brothers Don Tadlock and Freddy Tadlock and wife Janis; son Toby Fest and partner Mike Riordan; daughter Kellye Harris and husband Randy; grandchildren Gary Fowler II and wife Liddy, Nicole Anderson and husband Taylor, and Jordan Grenadier; great-grandchildren Luke “Carroll” Anderson, Haven Chuey, and Kennedy Fowler; and a host of friends.

Visitation was held on Thursday, June 5, from 5-7 p.m. in the Porter Loring Mortuary in San Antonio.

A funeral service was held on Friday at 11 a.m. in the St. Paul Lutheran Church in San Antonio.

Interment followed in the Hill Country Memorial Gardens in New Braunfels.

Lion Pat Carroll will be missed by her family and all her many friends and neighbors, including all the Lions in Lions International, and everyone at her business, Herb's Hat Shop in San Antonio.
