1915-2014

Angela Marie Mutz, a vibrant woman of 98 years of age, passed away on Wednesday, June 4, 2014, in Fair Oaks Ranch, Texas. She was born in Stockdale on Dec. 8, 1915, to Mike and Rosie Richter.

Angela was brave, devoted, determined, strong, and always willing to do more than her part. A lifelong gardener, she did not miss a chance to get her hands in her garden. She soaked up the joys of family life in her home lovingly surrounded by her family. Angela married Edd Mutz, and together they lived and raised their family in Cestohowa. Angela faithfully cleaned the church in Cestohowa for 40 years. She was also a member of the Altar Society.

Angela was preceded in death by her husband, Edd Mutz; her parents; her son, Edward Fabian Mutz; daughter-in-law Lillian Mutz; granddaughter Lisa Marie Mutz; and brothers Matt Richter and Emil Richter.

She is survived by her daughter, Rose Marie Pavlas and husband Elmer; son Jimmy Mutz and wife Dorothy; sister Bernice Stolte; granddaughters Michelle Pavlas-Galan and Melanie McKinney and husband Mark; grandsons Robbie Mutz, Troy Mutz, Brian Mutz, and Jason Mutz; great-grandchildren Bradley Galan, Fabian Mutz, Zebrina Mutz, Stephanie Funari, and Valerie Funari; great-great-grandchildren Colt Galan and D’Angelo Gonzales; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Visitation was held on Friday, June 6, from 4-5:30 p.m. with a rosary at 7 p.m. in the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary Parish in Panna Maria.

A funeral Mass was held on Saturday at 10 a.m. in the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church in Cestohowa.

Interment followed in the Cestohowa Cemetery in Cestohowa.

Serving as pallbeaers were Robbie Mutz, Troy Mutz, Jason Mutz, Brian Mutz, Bobby Mutz, and Clay Stolte.
