Kindergarten students at Floresville South Elementary School raised money to replace the Beverli Helmke memorial tree that had been damaged in a storm. Each student donated $1 and participated in planting a new tree to honor Beverli, a dedicated and beloved teacher for the Floresville Independent School District for 31 years. Staff and students were also honored by the presence of the Helmke family, who came out to celebrate the planting of the new tree.
