Library plans summer activities

The Sam Fore Jr. Wilson County Public Library at One Library Lane in Floresville will once again hold a variety of activities to keep children busy all summer long. Activities taking place in June include:

•Family Game Night at The Library, Thursday, June 12 and 19, 6-7:30 p.m. -- Wii tournament June 19 for all those wanting a friendly challenge

•Teen Text the Element Game, Friday, June 13 and 20, 9 a.m. -- Registered teens with the game will receive a message. Decipher the message to have an opportunity to win a prize.

•Crafters in the Library, Friday, June 13, 10 a.m. -- Learn a new craft with the Wilson County Arts & Crafts League

•Movie Day at the Library, Saturday, June 14, 10 a.m. -- “Despicable Me” and “Despicable Me 2”; June 21, 10 a.m., “The Lego Movie” and “Scooby-Doo Meets Batman.” Muv Chat during both movies or simply watch the show during the smart phone interactive movie experience. Admission is free. The teen after-hours book club will sell refreshments.

•Lego Camp, Monday, June 16 and 23, 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.

•Maker Space, Monday, June 16 and 23, 2 p.m. --Library staff will introduce attendees to the new concept of a Maker Space.
