Kathryn Glynn Gotthardt is the Karnes City High School 2014 salutatorian. She is the daughter of Mark and Cassie Gotthardt.

While in high school, Kathryn was a member of varsity basketball and track teams, GAA secretary, major of the Highsteppers, FCA vice president, FFA, Student Council president, National Honor Society vice president, and class president.

Moments she will always remember are the fun times and exciting success she got to share with her teams on the football field, the basketball court, and the track. Kathryn made some of the best friends and created memories that she will never forget! She definitely feels like she accomplished a lot and made the most of her high school experience.

Kathryn’s advice to younger students would be to set your standards high and make goals you couldn’t ever imagine reaching. Once you’ve done that, try your hardest to do anything and everything to make those dreams a reality!

She would like to thank Mrs. Jennifer Card, Coach Donnie Dzuik, and Coach Burke Braun, who all helped her reach success. They pushed her to be the best she could possibly be and gave her the confidence that if she believed in herself, she could do anything she set her mind to.

After graduation, Kathryn plans to attend Texas A&M University in College Station and major in kinesiology with dreams of becoming a sports trainer.
