Members of the Sacred Parish in Floresville gathered at Lew’s Patio & Grill on June 11, to honor those serving as catechists in the ministry of Faith Formation. Lew’s Patio and Grill coordinator, Stephanie Jackson, treated the guests to an evening of fine dining in the elegant banquet room adjacent to the restaurant.

Monsignor Frank Kurzaj hosted the gathering and had many encouraging words for all present. He thanked the catechists and their families for the many countless hours dedicated in service to the people of Sacred Heart Parish and the Floresville area. The group of men and women were challenged by Monsignor Frank to continue their faithful and dedicated work in the ministry of evangelization, highlighting the importance of serving the people with humility and love.

He also invited those present to work with him in coordinating his next trip to Europe. Father Frank is hoping to take a total of 150 young men and women from the Floresville Deanery to attend World Youth Day, which will take place in Poland in 2016.
