Hayden Johnson and Micayla Pearson, both of La Vernia, have been chosen to participate in the Texas Brigades’ 15th Battalion of the South Texas Buckskin Brigade program this summer. They were selected based on their academic records, interest in wildlife and natural resources, and leadership activities.

The Texas Brigades’ mission is to educate and empower youths with leadership skills and knowledge in wildlife, fisheries, and land stewardship to become conservation ambassadors for a sustained natural resource legacy. This is the 22nd year of the Brigades.

For more information, contact Helen Holdsworth at hholdsworth@texas-wildlife.org, or 855-TXBRIGS or 210-556-1391.
