Bexar deputies probe homicide

SAN ANTONIO -- Deputies from the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office are seeking information after a body was found June 18 at a ranch off Donop Road west of I-37.

According to sheriff’s office spokesman Rosanne Hughes, the victim was identified as 19-year-old Xavier Joseph Cordero. An autopsy concluded that the manner of his death was homicide.

Deputies were called to the scene at 8:30 a.m., when someone found an unresponsive Cordero face-down inside the ranch’s property line. He appeared to have trauma to his face and chest area.
